EXDS was formed in 2001 by Steve Grimbley, former UK professional services director for EXE technologies (formerly Dallas Systems), a leading supplier of warehouse management software.

Steve also worked for Tesco Stores Plc for 10 years in both a logistics and IT role prior to joining Dallas Systems/EXE technologies in 1994.

Having worked on many WMS implementations, Steve understands the requirement for accurate volumetric and dimensional data in the supply chain and that is why EXDS are proud to be the official UK and Ireland distributor of the Cubiscan, the world’s leading dimensioning, cubing and weighing system.

These devices automatically capture dimensions and weight of products and packages and integrate this information easily into host systems to optimise warehouse processes such as picking and packing, streamline transportation planning and assist with optimal space fill in retail environments

Developed in the late 80s on the back of a US military project these machines target specific industry challenges and use Infrared, lasers or ultrasonics and can be as accurate as .1 of a millimeter
